Creating opportunities through education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable infrastructure

With a strong focus on helping people help themselves, the association Moyo Wangu Kenya e.V. enables many children to attend school and supports young people through solid, well-founded education.
Through entrepreneurship, improved infrastructure, the construction of new housing, the use of solar energy, and sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions, the organization continually creates new opportunities for employment and income.
Combined with permaculture, composting, waste reduction, and nature conservation, new foundations and conditions for better future prospects are established. This empowers local communities to free themselves independently from the endless cycle of poverty, hardship, and hopelessness. In this way, the organization sets clear and sustainable priorities—exactly where they are needed most: among the poorest and most vulnerable members of society.
With its projects, Moyo Wangu Kenya connects ecological, economic, and social sustainability and lives these values every single day, because:
“Everything we do becomes a part of us.” (African proverb)

Plateless Schweiz

Nutrition, Education and Clothing for Families in Need

It's not about food. its about life. To make a big difference, to give hope.
Plateless is a non-profit organization, providing reliable support to children and families in need. They serve each feeding over 500 kids. Thats over 7.000 warm meals and prepare 3.600 sandwiches to go for in the morning before the kids go to school, ensuring they have the nutrition to focus.
Plateless covers school fees and uniforms for children whose families cannot afford them, making sure every child has access to education. Additionally, their Clothing Bank provides donated clothes from the local community to families in need.
Locally, the community of the township is involved in the operation of the soup kitchen, thus promoting togetherness, providing meaning and hope.

Coastal Heroes for our Future
For the Ocean
The Mermaid Project
Netherlands / Indonesia / Philippines / Tanzania / Kenya
Woman leading Mangrove Restoration

Mangroves are coastal superheroes. On average, a single mangrove tree removes around 12 kg of CO₂ per year, storing carbon in its wood and surrounding soil. Mangroves also protect coastal communities from storms and erosion and provide vital nursery grounds for marine life. Yet, these powerful ecosystems are disappearing at an alarming rate.
The Mermaid Project works hand in hand with local communities, applying a science-based approach to create long-term, measurable ecosystem impact.
This project puts women first because local women are on the frontline of coastal communities and environmental stewardship. By empowering local women as leaders, educators, and decision-makers, mangrove restoration becomes fairer. Every contribution to mangrove restoration helps strengthen coastlines, support biodiversity, and secure sustainable livelihoods for future generations.
